Staff Report | Monday, November 11th, 2019

The Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic ATQMRA powered by VP Racing Fuels will officially conclude their 2019 campaign at Turkey Derby XLVI.

The 46th rendition of this prestigious event will take place at Wall Stadium Speedway on Saturday, November 30th, 2019.

2019 ATQMRA Champion Joey Bailey will lead the charge of ATQMRA regulars as they look to earn a wreath before season’s end. Bailey has one career victory to his credit on Wall Stadium’s inner oval, which was earned in May of this year.

Buddy Sload will look to defend his Turkey Derby Championship title, after earning victory for him and Spitfire Racing in this event last November.

Ryan Tidman, the 2017 ATQMRA Turkey Derby Champion, who finished his 2019 season 2nd in driver’s standings, is poised to be a threat as well.

Geoffrey Sutton, a 2019 two-time winner on Wall Stadium’s inner oval, will seek to earn his first career Turkey Derby victory this year.

Other notables include Tim Proctor, Cole Mullen, and Kyle Taraska, who each earned their first career ATQMRA Feature Victories at Wall Stadium last year.

Jeff Kot, who nearly claimed his first career Turkey Derby victory last November, only to be out-dueled by Buddy Sload and a mistimed caution, seeks redemption this time around.

Along with our regulars, expect a wrath of “invaders” to compete in the 30 lap ATQMRA feature as well. All of which will be led by 2017 Indoor Auto Racing Series Champion Ryan Flores.

Wall Stadium Speedway will host two open practice sessions for all divisions on Saturday November 16th, and Saturday November 23rd, 2019 in preparation for what many claim as the biggest race of the year.

Pit gates open at 6:30 AM on race day, with a morning full of practice and time trials set to take place before the ATQMRA feature kicks off an afternoon of racing at approximately 1:00 PM.
